Jason Greenberg, a native of Toronto, Canada studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston where he earned his Bachelor of Music Degree with a Dual Major in Film Scoring and Music Production & Engineering. At Berklee, Jason intensely studied Film Scoring, Composition, World Music, Musicianship, Music Production, Audio Engineering and Mixing and Mastering.

Shortly after graduation, Jason moved to L.A. and pursued work taking advantage of a one year practical training visa he received from Berklee College of Music. He quickly found several jobs working as a Freelance Composer Assistant for composers such as Phillip Giffin (Boomtown, Murder 101), David Kitay (Mismatch, Bad Santa), Richard Gibbs (Queen of the Damned, Battlestar Gallactica), David Schwartz (Arrested Development, Northern Exposure), Lawrence Shragge (The Snow Queen, The Twilight Zone), Jon Ehrlich (The Guardian, Party of Five) and Joseph Zito (Arranged for Nat King Cole, Judy Garland and Dean Martin). Jason was simultaneously scoring films and TV independently while working as an assistant composer and scored a variety of projects that can be seen in detail on the Film/TV Credits page on this website.

In September of 2004, Jason returned to Toronto, Canada. Shortly after his arrival, he took a hiatus in Granada, Spain where he intensely studied Flamenco Guitar (another passion of Jason's). Shortly after his arrival from Spain, Jason signed a record deal with Somerset Entertainment and wrote/produced and performed a Flamenco album entitled "Siesta" and played all instruments on the CD. Jason later began producing music for an old friend/artist known as 'Caroline' for her debut Electronica/Pop album titled 'Murmurs' released by the very unique and stylized record label 'Temporary Residence'. Since then Jason has joined Caroline's band and has toured Asia including Japan and Taiwan and just recently played the Temporary Residence 10 year anniversary festival at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. The following summer Jason and Caroline toured the U.S. and then finished in Asia playing Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Singapore. While Jason continues to work with Caroline, he has since started a new electronica project called 'Repose', wich is a collective music project with a foundation of chillout electronic percussive textures and ambiences. Mellow mood induced instrumental music and collaborations between Jason and other artists with a common goal of creating a mellow evocative vibe. Jason has since released the debut album for Repose entitled "After the Equinox". For more information search the iTunes store or go to www.reposemusic.com .

In 2007 Jason started a production music licening library called "Soundcape Media Inc." which is a company that licenses a large catalogue of music for use in TV and Film. The catalogue has since grown to over 10,000 tracks of music with over 250 composers signed to the company. For more information visit: www.soundscapemedia.com. More recently Jason has started to make his music production services available to the public and is producing albums for select artists and has since worked on a variety of styles of albums. Jason has managed to keep busy and keep things interesting by pursuing several avenues in the music industry such as Film/TV Music Composition, Music Production, Electronica, World Music, Performing, and Mixing. Jason has a wide variety of skills and talents that keep him entertained and inspired which is key in Jason's eyes; "Diversity for me is the key to inspiration and originality". This is what distinguishes Jason from other Composer/Producers, drawing knowledge, experience, inspiration and passion from different worlds, and bringing them all together to be uniquely applied in every project that Jason takes part it.
